GENERAL BACKGROUND

I have been an attorney for more than 35 years,  practicing in the areas of business formation, mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financing, tax law, and the preparation and negotiation of corporate and technology contracts.

I have lectured to various professional groups on matters related to limited liability companies, partnerships and corporations, and am a former adjunct professor of business planning and partnership law at DePaul University.

A  member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Association of Attorney Mediators, I earned a B.S. degree from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce at the University of Pennsylvania, and a J.D. degree from DePaul University College of Law.

WHY I CREATED THIS WEBSITE

For the past 35 years I have represented hundreds of clients in negotiating and documenting business transactions. I have accumulated over 250 business transaction agreements and related forms. 

I have practiced law in a variety of settings, from a name corporate law firm to sole practitioner, accumulating substantial experience and developing business judgment.  I have worked with entrepreneurs as they developed a start-up firm to hundred million dollar enterprises. 

My goal in establishing The Lawyers' Mentor website is to share with other attorneys the experience, knowledge and work product I have accumulated over the past three decades.

In addition to my work product, I am making available to the legal community my accumulated knowledge and experience by mentoring on a one-to-one basis. This mentoring will include working one-to-one with you by telephone to determine which of my legal forms are applicable to your transaction and how to modify the forms to fit your particular situation. 

My vision is to share with practicing lawyers my experience, knowledge and work product to enhance their law practice and ability to serve their clients.
